University Health System

University Health System is the clinical practice at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. There are more than 185 physicians and surgeons on location that help to advance research, train tomorrow’s leaders in medicine, and to provide care throughout Las Vegas, Reno, and Nevada.

More than 120,000 patients a year put their health in the hands of these doctors who are competent, experienced, and board-certified.

The University Health System also furnishes the hospitals and clinics in the Las Vegas area with family doctors, interns, ob/gyn doctors, pediatricians, psychiatrists, and surgeons. Specialties services like weight-loss surgery, neurology, plastic surgery, endocrinology, ear-nose-throat, and maternal/fetal medicine are also offered.

University Medical Center (UMC)

UMC is also the state-designated trauma center for southern Nevada, receiving injuries from large-scale accidents and catastrophes. Additionally, UMC houses the Lions Burn Care Center, the state’s only facility of this kind.

UMC has conveniently located their Quick Care Centers throughout the community to provide urgent and comprehensive care for your entire family with no appointment necessary. The Quick Care Centers treat everything from minor illnesses or injuries to comprehensive everyday health care needs, as well as serving as primary care sites for many HMOs and managed care organizations.
